Initial situation
- Manual material transportation between warehouse, production and dispatch
- Interface losses due to separate systems and processes
- Limited transparency in the material flow
- High complexity in the supply and return of bulk material containers (hoppers)
Customer Benefit
- Seamless and consistent automation of the entire material flow
- Reduction of manual processes and sources of error
- Traceability of every container in the system
- Direct connection of the injection molding machines without intermediate stages
Fully automated production logistics in an interface-free system
Servus implemented an integrated intralogistics system based on the Servus ARC5 at Hirschmann Automotive in Rankweil.
The core of the project is the direct, interface-free connection between incoming goods, warehouse, injection molding machines and outgoing goods. A central special feature is the Servus Hopper-ARC, which is used to automatically deliver bulk material to octabins positioned below the travel path.
The solution stands for maximum transparency, maximum efficiency along the entire value chain and maximum process reliability.
Hirschmann Automotive, Rankweil
The Rankweil site is the headquarters of Hirschmann Automotive and is one of the company's most modern production facilities.
Highly complex connectors and wiring systems for the automotive industry are produced here - to the highest quality and efficiency standards.
By taking the step towards fully automated production logistics, Hirschmann Automotive in Rankweil is sending a clear signal in the direction of Industry 4.0.
Servus was our partner throughout the entire project. In intensive workshops, we jointly developed a vision based on a fact-based analysis: a fully automated, customized intralogistics system that seamlessly connects warehouse and production.
